About the Civil Rights Data Collection

The Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) collects wide-ranging education access and equity data from our nation’s public schools. Since 1968, the CRDC has collected data on key education and civil rights issues in our nation’s public schools for use by the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) in its enforcement and monitoring efforts, by other Department offices and federal agencies, and by policymakers and researchers outside of the Department. To find out more, go to About the CRDC.
